In Asia, feline stripes and predatory roars once dominated jungles. But the region’s market for tiger products—including fur, meat, and bone wine—has decimated the animal’s population in the wild. Today, fewer than 3,200 roam free in Asia, a big drop from the 100,000 that were on the loose 60 years ago. Americans aren’t guilt-free: It’s estimated that 7,000 tigers are kept as pets in the U.S.
Ugh!
